Alvin ISD After School Volleyball Programs
Our elementary school after school sessions are open to all grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. In our six or eight-week program, our players will be learning basic motor skills and fundamental volleyball skills such as passing platform, quick feet, and underhand/overhand serving. We want to ensure that our young players understand the simple skills before progressing into more challenging skills. Players will be separated within the group based on skill level, however, players will still get to be with their favorite friends. Players who are advanced may be asked to attend the junior high session. Each class will include a dynamic warm up, stretches, partner and team drills, and mini games the last 30 minutes to wrap up each class. Our coaches are experienced and will serve as referees so that players will have an opportunity to learn volleyball match rules that they can use during our upcoming Saturday leagues. Through our after-school sessions, we teach life skills such as team work, integrity, communication, good sportsmanship, and positivity.
