Alvin ISD After School Volleyball Programs
This six or eight-week session is for players 6-8th grades. In our junior high sessions, players will be learning more challenging skills such as overhand serving, attacking, digging, ball control, and serve receive patterns. Players will be taught all necessary skills to prepare for junior high or high school tryouts. In our junior high sessions, we strive to teach healthy competition for players that will continue to play competitively. Players will be separated within the group based on skill level, however, we will still respect any friendships. Each class will include a dynamic warm up, stretches, partner/team drills, and mini games the last 30 minutes to wrap up classes. Our coaches are experienced and will serve as referees so that players will have an opportunity to learn volleyball match rules that they can use during our upcoming Saturday leagues. Through our junior high sessions, we teach life skills such as communication, healthy competition, team work, good sportsmanship, and the ability to recover quickly from mistakes.
