Our Kindling programs are designed for our younger children who are still developing their gross and fine motor skills. In this program, players will be working on their locomotor skills (walking, running, skipping, hopping), spatial awareness, and will begin to learn simple volleyball skills since they are new to learning how their body works. Players in this program will be using supplemental equipment such as balloons, baskets, and beach balls to teach passing, setting, serving, and hitting. Players will also learn teamwork, communication, body awareness, and sportsmanship through activities such as "Sharks and Minnows," "Ship, Dock, Shore," circuits, drills, and obstacle courses. The Kindling program is volleyball specific, but has a focus on developing basic motor skills needed to "start the fire" as they continue growing. This program is for players in Kindergarten to 2nd grade. At the conclusion of each program, a "Player of the Night" will be selected by the coaches and honored with a fun prize!
